In February 2018, the value of the exported Finnish forest industry products totalled EUR 1.02 billion. The share of pulp and paper industry goods was 77% or equal to EUR 0.78 billion, says Luke (Natural Resource Institute Finland) in its preliminary report for the respective month of the current year.
The real export value in January-February totalled EUR 2.11 billion having increased by 6% over the same period of 2017 (deflated using wholesale price index, 1949=100).
Finland’s wood imports totalled 0.70 million cubic metres in February. In January-February wood imports totalled 1.29 million cubic metres. Compared to the same period of the last year wood imports decreased by 2%.
