The European Union and the Peruvian negotiators have agreed on the establishment of quotas for mahogany exports. The Commercial Counselor of Peru in Belgium, Mr. Eduardo Perez, explained that the call for action was a result of allegations by environmental groups of the possibility that illegally harvested mahogany from Peru was entering the EU.
