Weinig’s Supervisory Board confirmed the company’s management in office. First, the supreme body of the leading technology provider for solid wood processing and derived timber products re-elected 59-year old graduate lawyer Thomas Bach, who had recently been appointed IOC President, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, as the company said in a press release.

Then Wolfgang Pöschl was appointed Chairman of the Management Board of Weinig AG for another term of office until December 31, 2018. Within the unchanged Board he will receive continued support by Stephan Weber (Sales and Marketing) and Gerald Schmidt (Financial), Weinig stated.

Thomas Bach was very delighted with the trust placed in Weinig’s former and current CEO by the Supervisory Board, said the company. “This vote is a clear recognition of Wolfgang Pöschl’s previous achievements and lends valuable continuity to the company”, Bach said. To him, the contract extension will set the course for the next five years of Weinig: “We know that the huge challenges that lie ahead are in the best hands with him, and we wish him the very best of success.”
