Siljan, the Swedish woodworking conglomerate, invested in ten new drying kilns and 29 new control systems type Valmatics for its sawmills in Älvdalen and Mora.

Swedish wood kilns supplier Valutec will supply the products and provide Siljan with added drying capacity of about 120,000 cubic metres.

Tomas Olaspers CEO of the Blyberg Timber sawmill in Älvdalen, states that Valmatics provides improved reliability, and that the sawmill will be able to increase its capacity to 245,000 cubic metres annually from 205,000 cubic metres.

The new drying kilns will improve the sawmill's production output of pine flooring, as Jon Hansson, head of the sawmill in Mora stated.
