Russian Segezha Group's subsidiary Sokolsky DOK (Sokol Woodworking Plant) gradually explores export markets. The enterprise carried out first supplies of its glulam beam houses to Latvia. 7 prefab house sets whose total volume reached 900 m3 were shipped to the country, reports Segezha Group in its press-release.

Sergey Pomelov, the head of Segezha Group, noted that the group's objective is to market its goods in more EU countries. Sokolsky DOK was the first enterprise in Russia to start glulam prefab hoses production, and so far, it has successfully implemented the woodworking capacity expansion investment project. Thus, Sokolsky DOK can, by all means, increase production volumes for further exports.

At the end of 2016, glued wooden construction-based houses output reached 28,600 m3. It indicates the 12.5% year-on-year growth. Glued wooden construction output increased fourfold.

The group notes that Sokolsky DOK has been certified by both national and foreign bodies. Quality control and all the necessary tests are carried out in accordance with the European standard EN 14080. The entire production chain is FSC-certified. Moreover, according to Segezha Group's press-release, the enterprise is able to ensure production of high endurance glued wood constructions of the GL32(h) strength class.
