Schweighofer completes acquisition of Klausner's sawmill in Germany

The Schweighofer Group has completed the acquisition of Austrian Klausner Group's sawmill in Kodersdorf, in the German state of Saxony. The contract was signed back in August, the controls by the responsible statutory authorities were done and finally the antitrust approval was given on 7th October 2015.

By that Holzindustrie Schweighofer takes over the operational management of the sawmill in Kodersdorf. All employees of the sawmill were taken over.

The plant has a cutting capacity of 1.2 million cubic meters of roundwood. The sawmill processes spruce and pine from Germany, Poland and the Czech Republic. The drying capacity is of 700,000 cbm, while the planing capacity reaches 400,000 cbm of timber.
