Price of wood pellets stable in Germany

The price of wood pellets in Germany remained stable in March as compared to the previous month. On averge, pellets currently cost 255.85 EUR per tonne. This represents a decline of -0.3% over February 2015 and nearly -7% over March 2014. The price advantage of wood pellets over fuel oil is at the moment +17%.

In March 2015, the price of wood pellets in Germany had the following regional differences: in central Germany pellets cost 253.83 EUR/t at a 6 tons purchase quantity. In South Germany the same amount of pellets cost 255.20 EUR / t and in the North/East 260.83 EUR / t.

Larger quantities (26 t) were traded in March 2015 at the following prices: North/East: 243.04 EUR/t, Center: 238.57 EUR/t, South: 242.57 EUR/t (all including VAT).
