Fordaq has signed an agreement with Coface
in order to enable its members to easily access the @rating of a Fordaq member.
Coface is one of the world leading companies in commercial risk management.
They have developed the @rating services for their customers to easily assess the capability of a company to honor its commercial engagements.
Each @rating level gives you a value up to which Coface would be ready to insure a transaction to the company.
Example
If the company you are looking for has an @rating level of @@ it means Coface estimates that this company is able to pay 50 000 € of invoices you would send them.
This gives you directly a precise idea of the financial strength of the company. The decision to deliver that company is still yours.
The payment is not insured but you know that Coface estimates there is little risk in selling up to 50 000 € to that company. It does not mean there is no risk.
The different levels of @ratings
R = 10 000 € @ = 20 000 € @@ = 50 000 € @@@ = 100 000 € @@@@ = representing companies with an ability to honour commercial engagements above 100 000 €
X = Flags companies with an element of weakness NR = unknown debtor
