Canada: Lumber production down 7.1% in April

Canadian lumber production was down 7.1% from March, to 5 778.2 thousand cubic metres of lumber in April. Production was 1.8% lower than in April 2016.

Canada's sawmills shipped 5 886.6 thousand cubic metres of lumber in April 2017, up 0.8% from March and 4.1% higher than in April 2016.
